Mostly found in zipped software distributions via anonymous FTP sites.
Each zip file includes one special file (usually FILE_ID.DIZ) which
decribes the content of that particular zipped file.
DL (D)avide Tome' and (L)uca De Gregori -- the copyright owners
of this file format. Used for movie/animated clips. MOst DLs loop forever.
Originated in Italy.

A compressed picture format. Introduced by Compuserve for transmitting
graphic files over networks. The LZW compression algorithm used in a GIF

Most suitable for images with line-art graphics and solid colors.

Plain ASCII text file. Normally contains the printable or lower ASCII
characters (except for CR & LF). In Unix world, each line, in this type of
file, is terminated by CR (Carriage Return) whereas in DOS world, each
line ends with a CR and LF (Line Feed) pair.
NOTE: the "txt" extension is not an enforced standard but a convention.
Some people might use "ASC" as an extension and some might not.
